Dark scar tissue resulting from tattoo gun and not a tattoo removal.

Dark scar tissue resulting from tattoo gun and not a tattoo removal.

As mentioned in a previous post the very act of getting a tattoo can cause scarring which is often blamed on the tattoo removal process if the tattoo is deleted at some point. This seldom discussed side effect of the tattoo process is not usually apparent until the tattoo pigment is removed and the scar revealed has been there from day one after the initial healing process during the tattoo aftercare. That is not to say that an improper tattoo removal didn’t cause scar tissue, but often times scar tissue existed before the tattoo removal process was even considered.

Tattoo scarring can be caused by improper aftercare to sensitive skin and the location of the tattoo. Most tattoos do not cause scarring, but it occurs often enough that tattoo recipients should be made aware of the possibility and make sure the the tattoo artist does not penetrate the skin to deeply, work the skin to hard, follows proper sterilization and sanitation techniques and does not use pigments that may cause an allergic reaction.

Tattoo Gun Scarification

Rotary tattoo guns work at up to 10,000 rpm’s and an electric motor linear shaft up and down tattoo gun penetrates the skin at up to 1000 rpm’s. Anything that penetrates the skin at that speed to the depth necessary to create a tattoo can turn the tattooed area into the equivalent of ground hamburger which is most definitely capable of causing scar tissue, but the scarring is not usually noticed because of the colored tattoo ink disguising the damaged skin tissue.

Nuviderm Can Reduce Pre-Existing Skin Damage

TCA, the active ingredient in Nuviderm, when improperly used at excessive strengths as a tattoo removal agent can cause scarring, but when properly used it does not create scar tissue and, as demonstrated by Dermatologists who use TCA to remove or reduce the size of facial acne scars, it can help repair damaged skin caused by the application of the tattoo itself.

Proper AfterCare is Essential

A new tattoo is essentially an open wound that requires proper aftercare. Improper after care can also result in scarring. In either case the scar can be anything ranging from smooth to slightly raised outlines to a bumpy, raised, and itchy surface and even a full blown keloid scar in the shape and color of the tattoo. Most often the scar tissue will not become apparent until long after the tattoo has been applied and healed. This can range from months to years after the tattoo was applied, especially if you are allergic to the pigment used and expose the tattooed area to UV radiation from the Sun. If you notice an itchy or raised surface on the tattoo after Sun exposure or excessive sweating caused by heat or physical exertion, then you may have scar tissue caused by the tattooing process itself.

In many cases scarring does not occur until latter on especially when the scar is partially the result of an allergic reaction to the tattoo pigment. The greatest percentage of allergic reactions are to red tattoos caused by the pigments used to create the red color.

Scar Treatment Tips

If scar tissue is detected it may be beneficial to treat the area with one of the following:

  • Aloe can help reduce scar tissue and also fade scar tissue that has darkened because to a concentration of skin pigment in the scar tissue itself.
  • Indian Gooseberry can be effective in preventing scar tissue after the wound has healed. It is a rich source of Vitamin C and normally is applied in the form of a gel or cream. Vitamin C is essential to fortify the skin in the area of the wound.
  • Tea Tree Oil is a natural oil that contains Terpenes which have antiseptic qualities and when applied frequently can diminish scars.

Whichever method of scar treatment is used, patience and diligence is required. Scar tissue will not dissappear or be reduced to more acceptable levels overnight. Be prepared for multiple, daily applications of your preferred scar reduction regimen with the understanding that there is no guarantee of success. Be prepared to continue the process long after you would expect noticeable results and you may be rewarded for you persistance.

Tattoo Removal vs. Tattoo Creation and Scars

Do tattoo needles create scars while creating tattoos?

Do tattoo needles create scars while creating tattoos?

Tattoo removal and tattoo removal cost are usually the subjects of this blog, but today we’re also going to talk about tattoo creation. Anyone who’s ever had a tattoo applied knows that the needle of a tattoo gun penetrates their skin thousands of times and pokes thousands of little holes in order to inject ink into the second layer of skin where the tattoo will eventually reside and become permanent.

Not only are thousands of holes poked into your skin, but these holes are very, very close together, creating what would probably look like a layer of hamburger meat on your skin if it wasn’t for the tattoo pigment  disguising the degree to which your skin has been shredded. That’s why large tattoos require several visits to the tattoo parlor,  your skin simply cannot take having that many holes poked in it over a very large area at one time.  It would create to large of an open wound, and the larger the wound the more susceptible it is to infection, not to mention the fact that the larger the open wound the more painful it is.

Most people fail to realize that when you shred the first two layers of skin to the degree necessary to create a tattoo you’ve done some major damage to the skin and possibly created a scar which can’t be seen because of the tattoo pigment coloring the scar tissue once the tattoo has healed.  Also, the vibrancy of some of the new tattoo pigments would tend to color and mask any damaged skin or scar tissue that may exist as a result of the tattoo being applied.

Now fast-forward a few years when the tattoo you received is no longer that desirable piece of body art you once cherished and you start looking into the tattoo removal options available to you. Laser  removaltattoo removal cream, TCA tattoo removal and other home tattoo removal products would be obvious methods  of removal from which to choose.

Let’s say you start with a cream removal tattoo product and after a few months you give up because you realize it’s not working.  After spending several hundred,  maybe $1000 you switch to a TCA product possibly Nuviderm, because by this time  you don’t have much money left and you can buy Nuviderm for under $40.

You read and follow the instructions very closely, and as your tattoo begins to fade  and eventually disappears, you see evidence of scarring and immediately assume it was caused by the TCA tattoo removal product, but in many instances, the scarring has been there from day one, that day being the day you initially received your tattoo and your skin was shredded like hamburger meat in order to inject the tattoo pigment into your skin.

Without a doubt,  scarring can be a tattoo removal cost. Any product strong enough to remove a tattoo from the second layer of skin also carries with it the risk of creating a scar, especially if not used properly and in accordance to the directions provided by the manufacturer.  It is also worth remembering that the creation of a tattoo can also create scar tissue that may go unnoticed until you begin your tattoo removal process.

That is why it is a good idea to remember the saying  THINK BEFORE YOU INK, because sometimes a scar comes with the tattoo, you just don’t know it at the time.

In closing, does getting a tattoo remove virgin skin and replace it with pigmented scar tissue?

Nuviderm Tattoo Removal – Low Cost Tattoo Removal

I cannot tell a lie, Nuviderm tattoo removal works!

I cannot tell a lie, Nuviderm tattoo removal works!

Tattoo removal is a lengthy process, don’t believe anyone who says otherwise. How could something meant to be permanent be easily removed? Even state of the art Lasers require several expensive and painful sessions with no guarantee of satisfaction which is why Laser clinics offer no money back guarantees.

Tattoo removal cream, on the other hand, offers a simple, pain free form of tattoo removal except for one thing – the effectiveness of a tattoo removal cream product is very “iffy” . They contain nothing more than a variety of skin pigment lightening products that may actually lighten the top layer of skin covering the tattoo by removing or inhibiting the production of melanin, the chemical in the skin that determines a persons skin color, but by themselves they don’t lighten or remove tattoo ink.

Skin lightening chemicals most commonly found in tattoo removal cream includes hydroquinone, a suspected carcinogen banned in many Asian and European countries, alpha arbutin, kojic acid and bearberry extract. There is absolutely no medical evidence that any of these skin tone lightening chemicals have any effect whatsoever on tattoo ink. The best proof that they don’t work is the fact that not one tattoo removal cream manufacturer offers a real – no fine print exceptions – money back guarantee without major loop holes and difficult to meet restrictions except for one, and they only accept returns within 30 days that have not been opened, require a Return Authorization number that can never be acquired and require that the returned package be insured by the sender. Fail to meet any of these stringent requirements and they keep your money. For all intents and purposes their so called “guarantee” is just a marketing ploy to try and reassure potential buyers of a risk free purchase when in reality no money will ever be returned.

The truth is, removing a tattoo is a lengthy process that requires patience, care and determination. The main difference in tattoo removal options that actually work is the cost. One ounce of TCA contains the tattoo removal power of about $750.00 worth of Laser treatments and requires about the same amount of time. Put another way, Laser removal costs about 20 times the cost of TCA for an equivalent size tattoo. TCA, when applied as directed, will also be much less painful than the laser procedure.

One weakness of laser removal of tattoos is the color of ink used in the tattoo. Laser destruction of tattoo pigment is limited by the wavelength of the laser in use. Many bright colors of tattoo ink such as white, yellow, pink, light blue and light green are simply not easily treatable by laser.

In fact, using Nuviderm tattoo removal will aid the process of laser removal, if used first, because it will fade the tattoo making the job of the Laser much easier and less painful – less tattoo pigment means fewer Laser treatments and less pain because the faded tattoo pigment results in a less harsh effect on the skin by the Laser beam. Or, you could just finish the job with TCA and not even to go near a Laser clinic saving you the time, hassle and the expense of driving to and from a probably inconvenient Laser clinic location.

If you are looking  for a low cost tattoo removal product with a 6 month guarantee, next day shipping (except on weekends), an 800 toll free customer service line and is an effective alternative to laser tattoo removal then Nuviderm is your answer.

Try Nuviderm, It Works or your money back.
