Get Your Life Back With Nuviderm Tattoo Removal

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

How can tattoo removal using Nuviderm help you get your life back? Well, let me explain.

Have you’ve ever done something that you later regretted? Many people have, so there is no reason to beat yourself up about it. One of the most common decisions that many people regret later in life is an impulsive tattoo. Perhaps you got your tattoo because you wanted to look cool to your friends. Maybe you were trying to impress someone that you had a romantic interest in. Maybe you don’t even remember getting your tattoo because it happened on a wild drunken night. You may have looked into different kinds of tattoo removal, but you didn’t like what you saw. The good news is that there are now more options than ever for tattoo removal.

Why Consider Tattoo Removal?

Although it shouldn’t be the case, many people may judge you within a few seconds of spotting your tattoo. If they haven’t had the time to get to know you, then they don’t have very much other information to go on. People might think that you are impulsive, disrespectful, unreliable, and untrustworthy. Since you know that’s not the type of person you are, it can be frustrating to have people quickly jumping to that conclusion all the time. If you are unemployed and looking for a job, employers might make up excuses to not hire you even if you are the most qualified person for the job. If you run your own business, you might find it hard to land big clients who would rather give their money to someone who looks more professional. If you are looking for a romantic partner, many good candidates may dismiss you out of hand because of your tattoos.

Your Tattoo Removal Options

Traditionally, your tattoo removal options have consisted of either a series of laser treatments or surgery. Both methods are extremely painful ways of tattoo removal. They are both also extremely expensive. One of the best new ways of tattoo removal is to use a product like Nuviderm. Nuviderm is a liquid that you can apply to your tattoo right in the privacy of your own home. It’s not one of those tattoo removal cream products that promise tattoo removal in a matter of days. If you come across a product that makes those claims, you should be extremely skeptical. Tattoos were meant to be permanent, and there is no reason to think that you’d be able to remove them in a short time with a simple tattoo cream removal.

Instead, Nuviderm works in much the same way as laser treatments do. It irritates the skin and forces the tattoo ink it to rise to the topmost layer of your skin. As your skin naturally sheds, the ink will fall off along with it. Like any other tattoo removal product or method that actually works this procedure may include a bit of discomfort, but why would you think otherwise? Getting tattoo was not without a bit of discomfort so removing will too, but used as directed the discomfort will be minimal and give you the same satisfactory results experienced by over 90% of our customers.

So if you’ve been looking for a tattoo removal solution you can do at home that gets real results, you should give Nuviderm a try. It can help you get your life back.

Tattoo Removal Cost Lowered by Nuviderm

Monday, April 26th, 2010

Nuivderm is a home tattoo removal system that is guaranteed to fade your unwanted tattoos. Its active ingredient is TCA, or trichloroacetic acid, which has been proven in two medical studies to be an effective tattoo removal agent. In this article, we will discuss the advantages that Nuviderm has over lasers and fading creams. Not only can it help you save on your tattoo removal cost; it can improve the results that you get and reduce both the time and pain involved.

Most people turn to lasers to remove their unwanted tattoos. However, laser tattoo removal can be very expensive, making your tattoo removal cost approximately ten times the amount of the tattoo itself. It is also a very painful procedure that takes a lot of time and patience. Treatments are scheduled 6-8 weeks apart and 6-16 treatments are generally required. By fading your tattoo with Nuviderm prior to your laser treatments, you can save up to 60% of the laser tattoo removal cost you would normally have to pay. A faded tattoo requires fewer laser treatments, which will save you both time and money. As an added bonus, there will be less pain involved since it takes less heat to break up faded ink. Since lasers have a difficult time removing certain colors like greens and yellows, fading your colorful tattoo with Nuviderm will improve the results that you see from your laser treatments as well as reducing your tattoo removal cost.

Those who are looking to save on their tattoo removal cost, or just cannot take the time off from school or work to get laser treatments, may consider fading creams as an alternative. However, buying fading creams will not help you save on your tattoo removal cost; they are actually a waste of money. These creams generally contain hydroquinone, a skin bleaching agent. This controversial ingredient affects only the first layer of skin. Tattoos are located on the second layer of skin, rendering fading creams ineffective for this purpose. Moreover, hydroquinone may be linked with cancer and a skin disease known as exogenous ochronosis. A safer and more effective way to save on your tattoo removal cost is to use Nuviderm. Like fading creams, Nuviderm is inexpensive and can be used in the comfort of your own home. The difference is that Nuviderm works a bit like lasers in that it produces controlled inflammation. The inflammation causes the ink to rise to the surface layer of the skin after about 5-6 treatments. The ink then fades away after each successive treatment.

With prices starting at only $39.95, Nuviderm can save you a significant amount on your tattoo removal cost. If you have an unwanted tattoo, you have nothing to lose by trying Nuviderm. If you are not satisfied with the product for any reason, you have six months to return the unused portion for a refund. Rather than spend a small fortune on painful laser procedures, or waste your money on fading creams that will not work, give Nuviderm a try and see what it can do for you.

Tattoo Removal with Nuviderm

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

Everyone has been young and made a poor choice at some point in their lives. Most of the time, people don’t have to live with the consequences of that choice for the rest of their lives. Choices are made, regretted and then will simply sink back into the past not to be thought about again. However, if one of those choices you made was to get a tattoo, then that is something that you might think you have to live with for the remainder of your life. Whether you are regretting a tattoo because it says the name of an ex or if it is because your tastes have simply changed since you were eighteen, there are ways to get rid of that tattoo. You might be thinking at this point about the fact that tattoo removal is somewhat expensive and painful. What’s even worse is the fact that perhaps you don’t want anyone to see your embarrassing tattoo. What should a person do if they are unable to afford expensive laser treatments, but they still want that tattoo removed?

Purchase  Nuviderm to use  in the comfort and privacy of your own home.

If you’ve been thinking of tattoo removal, but have shied away because of the cost, you should give Nuviderm a try instead. After all, isn’t it worth a try? Of course it is. Think about the fact that when you start using this unique tattoo removal cream, your tattoo will fade a little more every day. After about 4-6 months your tattoo will show fading and a 9 square inch tattoo will be completely gone in about 10 months. How wonderful will it be when you wake up in the morning and are not reminded of the terrible choice you made when you were younger?

Those people who find a home tattoo removal removal product suspect and unlikely to work the way it says it does should take a look at the plethora of consumer reports and personal accounts of success. Obviously, do it yourself tattoo removal does take a little longer, but you can do this in the privacy of your own home so it won’t even matter. Plus, you know that after a certain period of time, that tattoo will be gone forever. Nuviderm is only a fraction of the cost of laser treatments and it is just as effective. Why wouldn’t you give it a try on one of those terribly outdated and faded tattoos?

Nuviderm will make your unwanted tattoos disappear in a short period of time. You should know that you are not stuck with an unwanted tattoo if you don’t want to be. Simply look into the amount of Nuviderm you will need to erase your unwanted tattoo. Imagine how great you’ll feel when you wake up, look in the mirror and find that terrible mistake you made gone. You will have more confidence in yourself when you can love the way your skin looks.

Tattoo Removal vs. Tattoo Creation and Scars – Part 2

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010
Dark scar tissue resulting from tattoo gun and not a tattoo removal.

Dark scar tissue resulting from tattoo gun and not a tattoo removal.

As mentioned in a previous post the very act of getting a tattoo can cause scarring which is often blamed on the tattoo removal process if the tattoo is deleted at some point. This seldom discussed side effect of the tattoo process is not usually apparent until the tattoo pigment is removed and the scar revealed has been there from day one after the initial healing process during the tattoo aftercare. That is not to say that an improper tattoo removal didn’t cause scar tissue, but often times scar tissue existed before the tattoo removal process was even considered.

Tattoo scarring can be caused by improper aftercare to sensitive skin and the location of the tattoo. Most tattoos do not cause scarring, but it occurs often enough that tattoo recipients should be made aware of the possibility and make sure the the tattoo artist does not penetrate the skin to deeply, work the skin to hard, follows proper sterilization and sanitation techniques and does not use pigments that may cause an allergic reaction.

Tattoo Gun Scarification

Rotary tattoo guns work at up to 10,000 rpm’s and an electric motor linear shaft up and down tattoo gun penetrates the skin at up to 1000 rpm’s. Anything that penetrates the skin at that speed to the depth necessary to create a tattoo can turn the tattooed area into the equivalent of ground hamburger which is most definitely capable of causing scar tissue, but the scarring is not usually noticed because of the colored tattoo ink disguising the damaged skin tissue.

Nuviderm Can Reduce Pre-Existing Skin Damage

TCA, the active ingredient in Nuviderm, when improperly used at excessive strengths as a tattoo removal agent can cause scarring, but when properly used it does not create scar tissue and, as demonstrated by Dermatologists who use TCA to remove or reduce the size of facial acne scars, it can help repair damaged skin caused by the application of the tattoo itself.

Proper AfterCare is Essential

A new tattoo is essentially an open wound that requires proper aftercare. Improper after care can also result in scarring. In either case the scar can be anything ranging from smooth to slightly raised outlines to a bumpy, raised, and itchy surface and even a full blown keloid scar in the shape and color of the tattoo. Most often the scar tissue will not become apparent until long after the tattoo has been applied and healed. This can range from months to years after the tattoo was applied, especially if you are allergic to the pigment used and expose the tattooed area to UV radiation from the Sun. If you notice an itchy or raised surface on the tattoo after Sun exposure or excessive sweating caused by heat or physical exertion, then you may have scar tissue caused by the tattooing process itself.

In many cases scarring does not occur until latter on especially when the scar is partially the result of an allergic reaction to the tattoo pigment. The greatest percentage of allergic reactions are to red tattoos caused by the pigments used to create the red color.

Scar Treatment Tips

If scar tissue is detected it may be beneficial to treat the area with one of the following:

  • Aloe can help reduce scar tissue and also fade scar tissue that has darkened because to a concentration of skin pigment in the scar tissue itself.
  • Indian Gooseberry can be effective in preventing scar tissue after the wound has healed. It is a rich source of Vitamin C and normally is applied in the form of a gel or cream. Vitamin C is essential to fortify the skin in the area of the wound.
  • Tea Tree Oil is a natural oil that contains Terpenes which have antiseptic qualities and when applied frequently can diminish scars.

Whichever method of scar treatment is used, patience and diligence is required. Scar tissue will not dissappear or be reduced to more acceptable levels overnight. Be prepared for multiple, daily applications of your preferred scar reduction regimen with the understanding that there is no guarantee of success. Be prepared to continue the process long after you would expect noticeable results and you may be rewarded for you persistance.

We at Nuviderm are in the business to tattoo removal, but we also are interested in providing information to individuals contemplating their first tattoo. Seek out the best artist in the best shop in your area for the best possible outcome and satisfaction with your tattoo. Take the time to carefully consider the design and location of your tattoo. It may be prudent to locate your first piece in an area covered by clothing and not easily seen in public just in case you have a change of heart or are employed in a position where obvious body art may be detrimental to your career.

We didn’t originate this saying, but it bears repeating – THINK BEFORE YOU INK.

Tattoo Removal in Winter

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009
Steve Balmers' tattoo removal looks very uncomfortable.

Steve Balmers' tattoo removal looks very uncomfortable.

Factoid – Statistics show that more people begin a tattoo removal in spring and summer than fall or winter. That’s like always eating immediately after brushing your teeth, it’s backwards.

Cool weather tattoo removal is more comfortable and the treated area is more likely to be covered so no one can see the removal of a tattoo underneath all those warm clothes. That gives the added  advantage of not exposing the treated area to UV radiation from the sun, which is prudent no matter what tattoo remover you happen to be using. Any tattoo removal product that actually works, (and there are plenty that don’t – usually creams), will interfere with skin pigment formation and make the treated area more susceptible to the harmful effects of UV radiation on the treated area. In many cases this can lead to hyperpigmentation or a darkening of the treated area relative to the surrounding skin.

Removing a tattoo in hot weather is more uncomfortable because with each  treatment there must be a healing period which can include peeling of the skin which can cause itching.  Hot, itchy, sweaty skin can drive a person nuts. An itch preventative can be applied, but the sweat will make the application difficult and shorten the duration of the effectiveness because it will be diluted with salty sweat.

In cooler weather the non itch medication will stay in place and provide much more relief.

Chafing is another problem in hot weather. If the removal location is in an area prone to chafe it just adds to the discomfort. A protective bandage can be used to prevent chafing in fall or winter, but in summer bandages are more likely to become unstuck and expose the area to chafing.

When considering the removal of a tattoo, common sense is a very important factor to achieving an effective and comfortable tattoo removal treatment. Do your homework. Choose your product and start the treatment when the weather begins to cool and your tattoo removal experience will have a higher chance of success because you will experience less discomfort, and believe me, any tattoo removal product that works comes with some discomfort.

Any tattoo removal product or method that promises an easy treatment with no discomfort is selling you a load of you know what. Think about it – how is it possible to remove tattoo pigment embedded in the dermis (second layer of skin) without experiencing any discomfort? As they say, if it sounds to good to be true it probably isn’t. They might as well be trying to sell you land for $1 an acre 100 miles south of New Orleans. The land is there, they just neglect to tell you it’s  200 feet beneath the  Gulf of Mexico.

To modify an old saying: Beware of strangers selling tattoo removal creams – you’re about to be screwed.

Nuviderm Reviews New Tattoo Removal Technology

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009
Nuviderm Review - Injection of Freedom2Ink Microcapsules Containing Biodegradable Ink

Nuviderm Review - Injection of Freedom2Ink Microcapsules Containing Biodegradable Ink

It is estimated that more than 45 million Americans have at least 1 tattoo. Recent polling indicates that approximately 50% of all men and women under the age of 25 have a tattoo, but about 20% of all people with a tattoo regret getting it.

Laser technology has made significant advances in recent years, but it still requires several visits and hundreds to thousands of dollars to remove a tattoo via laser, depending on the size and colors used in the design. Nuviderm has never made a secret of the fact that we always recommend laser removal if it is within your budget and we, of coarse, recommend Nuviderm if Laser is to expensive.

If you read our blog with any regularity you will also know that we constantly warn against using so called tattoo removal creams because they don’t work, cost to much for what you get (soft skin where you apply it) and tattoo cream manufacturer warranties are either non existent or so full of loop holes as to be worthless. Tattoo removal creams are nothing more than a basic cosmetic with skin pigment fading chemicals included to fade the skin above the tattoo, but not the tattoo itself.

Freedom2Ink

Well, help is on the way although the pace may be a bit slow. A company called Freedom2Ink has been working on developing a new form of tattoo ink that requires about one half  the number of laser treatments for complete ink clearance.  They call this new tattoo pigment technology Particle Encapsulation and Enhancement (P2E) . Basically, the ink is encapsulated in small spheres that can be placed under the skin with  currently used tattoo equipment. The only difference is the ease with which it can be removed using current laser technology .

The bad news – after 10 years of development they have only perfected this technology using a biodegradable black pigment. Apparently  the the material used to make the encapsulating spheres is not compatible with currently used pigments and carriers so they estimate it will be several more years before they have a full color line available for use by the general tattoo loving public.

How It Works

The basic idea behind this product is that the biodegradable ink is micro-encapsulated in a plastic polymer bead. When the the laser strikes the bead it cracks open and the ink is released into the dermis where the tattoo resides and as a consequence of the release the body’s own natural immune system will help breakdown and dispose of the ink. The bead itself is hypoallergenic and will cause no allergic reaction or side effect.

Current tattoo pigments are not biodegradable, as seen here, which requires that they be repeatedly blasted by a laser over a much longer period of time in order to achieve maximum clearance. Many of the currently used pigments, the lighter colors in particular, are very difficult to remove and complete clearance using laser is impossible for many colors.

That is where Nuviderm has an advantage over current laser technology. Because Nuviderm is based on a medium strength cosmetic acid it removes all colors with equal efficiency, color makes no difference.

New Ink Specifics

  • As with current new tattoos, aftercare should be managed the same way, no special care is needed beyond what it normally done with current ink pigments tattoos.
  • Freedom2Ink is a premium ink and will therefore cost significantly more. This price will be passed on the the consumer.
  • The ink will be packaged in 5 ml bottles (1/6 ounce).
  • Tattoo removal costs using laser will be reduced by up to 50%
  • It is permanent yet removable
  • Colors claimed to be made from the highest quality FDA approved USP grade ingredients.

The Nuviderm Blog

I you go through our blog entries you will see several entries about new technologies on the horizon as well as what to avoid when purchasing a home use tattoo removal product. Nuviderm Reviews – Customer Complaint

Monday, October 19th, 2009
Phoning in a complaint to Nuviderm

Phoning in a complaint to Nuviderm

Who can you trust when looking for a reputable company that sells an effective tattoo removal product? Unfortunately there is no rating system for all the different types of tattoo removal products and procedures and no ranking system on which company says what they mean, means what they say, honors their refund policy (if they have one), and in general treats their customers with courtesy, honesty and respect.

A good place to research all tattoo removal companies, their product effectiveness and  guarantees offered  is to monitor forums and read the essential parts of the company websites you are considering buying from.

Now, no company is going to please 100% of their customers because, human nature being what it is, it’s darn near impossible to please everyone, mistakes are made, and some people are just difficult to deal with no matter what the circumstances.

Tattoo removal is a slow process so Nuviderm Tattoo Removal offers a 6 month money back guarantee. This gives their customers enough time to see results.  They can determine if  the product is actually working to do what they want -  fade the tattoo enough for a cover up,  prefade before using laser to save money on fewer laser treatments or to continue with Nuviderm until the tattoo has completely disappeared.

According to Jonathan Scott, a retired tattoo artist and expert on tattoo removal products and techniques who currently consults for Nuviderm,  even though Nuviderm was the first home tattoo removal product to offer a 6 month guarantee, (much to the chagrin of their competitors)  they still occasionally receive complaints that the  time period is not long enough. Never mind that just about every other tattoo product on the market either has no guarantee, a 30 day guarantee or a so called guarantee that is so full of loop holes favoring the manufacturer that the effect is to have no guarantee at all.

Scott went on to say that any tattoo removal product that truly works will show results  within six months. Any tattoo removal product, especially the creams, which only offer 30 days are not being honest with the public. He noted that, in his opinion, there is no tattoo removal cream on the market that can actually remove a tattoo. He says they market to people uneducated in the ingredients needed to remove a tattoo and the time it takes to show results. Modern tattoo pigments and the depth they are deposited in the skin make a 30 day guarantee impossibly short. In his opinion it shows the manufacturer knows their product won’t work and reduces the chance they will actually refund any money.

Scott also emphasized that rubbing a cream onto a tattoo does nothing but give temporary peace of mind to the person using the product and fatten the bank account of the company manufacturing and selling the product. One such company with a short guarantee specializes in convincing phone in customers they have not given the product enough time to work and that they should buy another 1 or 2 month supply, not reminding them that the warranty period for all subsequent purchases began with the original purchase. By the time the customer realizes they have made no progress the warranty period is no longer in effect, in essence they have been had.

“At least we give our customers plenty of time to make a determination as to whether our product works for them or not”, he said.

He explained that skin pH effects the performance of Nuviderm. Customers with a higher than normal skin pH do not see the quality of results as someone whose skin pH is normal or a bit lower than average. Fortunately most people fall into the latter category and have no problem seeing results within the warranty period. This is borne out from the relatively low return rate of about 8% of all customers.

Nuviderm Tattoo Removal – Useful Tips

Friday, October 16th, 2009

Nuviderm Tattoo Removal is a liquid concentrate of a tattoo removal product that must be diluted, it should not be used straight out of the bottle. With each purchase is a precise set of instructions that explains the dilution process and how to tell when you have found the proper strength for you skin type.

Since Nuviderm is a liquid it can drip or run from the area of the tattoo once it has been applied to the skin. One way to prevent “runners” is to apply a “barrier” around the area to be treated using a product such as Vaseline or any other skin lotion that covers the skin and will have a repelling effect so that any runners do not come in to contact with the skin.

Here’s an example. Say you have a tattoo on your arm between your elbow and your shoulder and you are sitting or standing when you apply Nuviderm to the tattoo you want to remove. There is a good chance the Nuviderm solution you apply will try to run down your arm. To prevent the Nuviderm solution from coming into contact with skin below the tattoo, apply the Vaseline or skin lotion below the tattoo in about a 2 inch wide swath which will protect the skin and prevent it from being affected in the removal process.

If you are removing a tattoo on your back or other location that requires that you lay on the floor or a bed while someone else applies the Nuviderm solution, have them completely encircle the tattoo with the Vaseline or lotion making sure they stay at least a quarter inch outside the area to be treated. If the Vaseline or lotion gets into the area to be treated it will prevent Nuviderm from having the desired effect on the tattoo, so be careful when applying the barrier coat.

Once the Nuviderm has had the desired effect as described in the directions, apply a previously mixed solution of baking soda and water to the treated area to instantly neutralize the Nuviderm solution. The baking soda solution should not be so thick that it is difficult to apply, but not so thin that it runs off the treated area, it needs to stay where you place it. Leave the mixture on for 2 or 3 minutes and rinse or wipe off. The baking soda mixture will be very soothing and ensure an even depth for the tattoo removal treatment.

Nuviderm is a cosmetic acid used hundreds of times every day by Doctors, health spas and individuals for various cosmetic reasons. It is also used to remove warts, stretch marks and other medically related treatments, sometimes in a Doctors office and sometimes as an at home remedy.

Even though the active ingredient in Nuviderm does not require a prescription it is always prudent to read and follow instructions carefully. If the instructions are not clear and easy  to understand, call or email for clarification. Any product powerful enough to remove tattoo ink should be taken seriously.

Products that claim to remove tattoos, such as any topically applied tattoo removal cream that consists of harmless cosmetic ingredients and skin pigment fading chemicals, should be regarded with skepticism, as practically all these products are useless, and take advantage of people with tattoo regret, but have no knowledge of which products actually work and those that are just out to separate you from your money. In the old days when con artists did such things to steal money from the poor, trusting and unsuspecting public they were literally tarred, covered with feathers and run out of town to teach them a lesson. In todays’ civilized world where the descendents of those old con artists can anonymously operate on the internet, there is no recourse. For that reason it is prudent of the uneducated consumer to avoid so called topically applied tattoo removal creams because they do not work and they will not refund your money.

Nuviderm works and has a 92% satisfaction rate. It has a track record and can be trusted to issue a refund to anyone dissatisfied with the product for whatever reason as long as they follow the easy to read and understand  refund instructions listed under the Guarantee tab of the website navigation links.

Trust Nuviderm - it works.

Home Tattoo Removal – Fact vs. BS

Thursday, September 17th, 2009
He bathed in tattoo removal cream, his skin faded, but the tattoo is still there

He bathed in tattoo removal cream, his skin faded, but the tattoo is still there

Home tattoo removal, also known as Do It Yourself tattoo removal,  can be a very difficult subject to master for a person who has decided to remove a tattoo, but cannot afford laser tattoo removal.

There are so many different kinds of tattoo removal options sold for the do it yourself person that the final decision can be almost impossible to make. It requires research on all  the various techniques and a healthy skepticism of the claims made by some of the  marketing campaigns of the product manufacturers. Most people will rule out Dermabrasion and Salabrasion as to harsh, and Cold Steel Surgery as to radical. The final decision usually boils down to this: should I choose one of the many tattoo removal creams or should I choose one of the  skin peel products?

What’s the difference?

To differentiate between the creams and the peels you must first understand how each works, then determine if claims made can be believed.

Home tattoo removal creams all claim to be effective, but different from the other tattoo removal creams they are competing against for market share. All creams contain one or several skin pigment fading chemicals, sometimes referred to as a skin bleach, as the main ingredient,  combined with skin conditioners, moisturizers and sometimes a sunblock and an exfoliate or scrub.

Skin pigment faders, or skin bleaching agents, are just that – products used to fade or bleach skin color for many reasons  including to remove age spots,  freckles or to even out skin tone in the hope of looking more attractive.  What they don’t tell you is these products are physically incapable of removing tattoo pigment. As a matter of fact they blatantly lie about the effectiveness of their product. These products do one thing and that is fade or bleach skin pigment which resides in the top layer of skin, they cannot and do not fade or remove tattoo pigment. All you have to do is read the ingredient list and Google each ingredient to find out exactly what it does.

Proof of this is the very fact that there has not been one medical study that confirms the claims made by any of the tattoo topical removal creams.  If such a study existed you would know about it because every tattoo cream removal manufacturer would be using the study as proof that their product truly works. Frankly, they rely on the ignorance and gullibility of the public when it comes to tattoo removal and how difficult it really is.

Another telltale sign of B.S. in the marketing of the creams is their product guarantee. Many have no guarantee (TatBGone, Tattoo-Off). Some offer a guarantee that becomes void unless you return the product in the allotted 30 day time period in the original unopened package (Tatmed). That means if you actually open the box, try the product and are dissatisfied you have voided the warranty.  The best known of the tattoo cream products offers a guarantee, but then they also state the guarantee does not apply to retail sales (WreckingBalm), but they don’t tell you where you can buy at wholesale.

It all boils down to not wanting to give refunds – these manufacturers know their product claims are false or grossly overstated. If they had to make refunds to all their unsatisfied customers they wouldn’t have the money necessary to run those expensive radio ads or advertise on Google and Yahoo. They rely on the constant crop of new first time do it yourself tattoo removers who they convince to buy their product with slick marketing campaigns.

The only claim a tattoo removal cream or gel manufacturer makes that is true is their product will not scar, it can’t penetrate the skin deep enough to create scar tissue which also means it can’t penetrate the skin deep enough to remove tattoo pigment. It’s unfortunate, but tattoos don’t magically disappear by rubbing on a cream and the form of exfoliation that some of these products  include is also bogus. Exfoliation of that type might remove a temporary tattoo, but certainly not a real, permanent tattoo done by a professional tattoo artist, the pigment’s to deep.

TCA

The only home tattoo removal products that work (excepting true dermabrasion and salabrasion) are the cosmetic acids such as TCA. One of those companies  sells a 2 dram bottle – (FYI -16 drams equals 1 ounce) for $38.00, but it is close to 100% pure TCA. Also this company does not offer a guarantee (Rx-Tattoo/EZ Peel).

We (Nuviderm) do not recommend using that strength and will not sell that strength. We sell 1 ounce bottles of a 50% concentrate  for $39.95 with which we give precise instructions on how to dilute for proper TCA tattoo removal that is not going to  leave a scar when properly used. We also offer live consultations via an 800 number on our website. No other home tattoo removal manufacturer does that.

We know our product works and offer a 6 month guarantee that can be accessed and read via the main navigation tabs on every page of our website. We don’t try to hide our guarantee.

TCA works by peeling a very thin layer of skin each treatment cycle with a treatment cycle being 3 – 6 weeks long. It’s not a fast way to remove a tattoo, but then there is no fast way to remove a tattoo other than by scalpel. The average 3″x3″ professionally made tattoo can take from 8 – 10 months with home made tattoos going faster because of inferior ink and tattoo technique.

Bottom line – if you can’t afford laser don’t waste your money on any cream on the market today. Either save your money for laser or buy Nuviderm for home tattoo removal.

Nuviderm works – the active ingredient has been proven effective in 2 separate medical studies.

Nuviderm Fade and Tattoo Removal Reviews TattooNow.com

As everyone knows, this is a blog about tattoo removal, specifically about the use of Nuviderm to remove a tattoo at a reasonable cost with a high degree of success – if you follow instructions -  instead of  using laser tattoo removal. In the course of every day we talk to people about their tattoos and sometimes we speak with tattoo artists about various matters related to tattoo application and removal.

Recently we spoke with Mary and Gabe who run Tattoonow in Easthampton, Massachusetts. They run  Tattoonow as a tattoo shop, but they also have a website, Tattoonow.com where they display their work  and the work of other tattoo artists and they have some of the finest artwork we’ve ever seen. They have formed associations with some of the finest tattoo artists in the world.

One thing we liked about the way they operate is from time to time they will bring in a laser tattoo removal technician with a machine so their customers can remove a piece they no longer like for a replacement piece or cover up. Some people just want to “clean the canvas” in a particular location with out replacing what was there.

Unfortunately, they had never heard of Nuviderm, but no matter, we still like the way they operate and the integrity of  their beliefs and the way they run their website and other tattoo related endeavors which include hosting tattoo conventions or gatherings where they provide seminars, workshops, discussion panels and, of course, custom tattooing.

Responsible tattoo education is the aim of the gatherings.

They’re next one, the Paradise Tattoo Gathering is Sept 17 – 20 in Hancock, Massachusetts – more information here .

When considering getting a tattoo always remember:

  • Make sure you like the design
  • Tattoo pigment is “permanent” and very difficult to remove
  • Check out your artists’ resume to make sure the skills are there
  • Make sure the tattoo shop is clean and proper protocols are followed

If you get tired of your tattoo and want to remove it you should:

  • Use laser if you can afford the cost
  • Make sure the laser clinic has state of the art equipment that can remove the pigment colors of your tattoo in a reasonable number of sessions
  • Use Nuviderm tattoo removal if you can’t afford laser
  • Read and follow instructions for a successful tattoo removal

Nuviderm reviews says checkout Tattoonow.com for great body art and for effective, affordable tattoo removal use Nuviderm.
